Meng Fuan Tan brings more than 18 years of marketing and business management experience in global travel retail and domestic retail, shaping brand growth and commercial strategy across Asia Pacific. Her career includes senior roles at POLA Orbis Holdings and L’Oréal Group, where she led expansion for brands such as Kiehl’s, Urban Decay and YSL Beauté. She oversaw market expansion strategies, business growth plans, digital and experiential marketing campaigns, retail designs and performance optimisation to strengthen visibility and accelerate sales.

In 2020, she established POLA Orbis Travel Retail, the group’s first multi-brand travel retail subsidiary in Hong Kong, building the business from inception and launching POLA in China travel retail followed by continuous expansion across Asia Pacific. Her strategic approach to business management, assortment planning and traveller-focused marketing directly accelerated company growth, elevated brand visibility and positioned her as a key leader in the travel retail sector.

Today, she is the Founder of Emmef Communications, a New York-based consultancy specialising in retail strategy, brand positioning and business growth.
