INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Davitt Report is delighted to unveil the panel of judges for the highly anticipated The Moodies 2024 Travel Journey Social & Media Awards.
As reported, this year marks the 11th edition of the annual awards, honouring excellence in travel-related social media, digital content and creative marketing campaigns.
The Moodies shine the light on the outstanding achievements across the global travel industry, recognising the most innovative, impactful and engaging work from airports, airlines, brands, retailers and other key players.
The awards programme covers a wide range of categories, from best use of video to top-performing social media campaigns and influencer marketing initiatives, best use of AI, and Digital Disruptor of the Year.
By honouring the industry’s most forward-thinking digital content and strategies, this year’s edition seeks to focus the spotlight on best practices and inspire travel sector stakeholders to elevate consumer engagement through social and digital platforms.
Nominations remain open via the dedicated website, with a submission deadline of 31 August.
Entry for the awards is via self-nomination and will be charged at US$189 per submission, payable at point of entry.

The entries will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges, comprising highly respected industry figures led by The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie.
Joining this year’s jury is travel retail veteran Canny Kwok, who was recently named Director for Search and Consulting at Exquisitz Asia.
The highly regarded Kwok has more than 30 years of business development and market growth experience across Asia, Mid Pacific, Hawaii and mainland USA, specialising in luxury travel retail across the jewellery, watches, accessories, and perfume & cosmetics categories. She spent more than 22 years with Bulgari and before that nearly 12 years with The Estée Lauder Companies.
She has been notable for expanding Bulgari’s presence in Asia Pacific, overseeing the development of new markets and the launch of new products.
Kwok has extensive cross-cultural experience working with diversified stakeholders and is passionate about building people capability, business success and leading change as an opportunity.
Brisbane Airport Media & Corporate Communications Manager Peter Doherty will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.
Doherty leverages over three decades of experience in television to craft innovative content across all social platforms. He has earned a reputation for his crucial role in shaping the airport’s public narrative, driven by his sharp storytelling skills and deep understanding of the media landscape.
His expertise in delivering compelling and forward-looking communications is instrumental for Brisbane Airport as it prepares to become the gateway for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Offering her extensive experience in branding, digital marketing, corporate communications and PR, Veronique Demers adds an essential perspective to the judging process. She currently serves as Vice President of Communications and Marketing at Airports Council International World.
Demers is well-regarded for leading strategic communications and marketing in the hospitality and travel sector, including luxury brands within the Accor group. She also directed initiatives at the World Trade Center Association, the French Embassy and Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar.
Judging Criteria
The judges will be looking for clear objectives, creative and effective implementation, and tangible and demonstrable results in the campaign award categories. They will also consider the structure, presentation and clarity of each entry.
The written summary component of entries should not exceed 800 words and should relate to work undertaken between 1 August 2023 and 31 July 2024.
